Renteria

Renteria and his family made their mark with Renteria Vineyard Management, one of the largest grape farming firms in Northern California. In 1997 they launched their own Renteria Wines label and today produce just over 2,000 cases annually of Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. It all started in 1963 when Salvador Renteria arrived at Sterling Vineyards.  Eventually, in 1987, he started his own company and passed it to the next generation in 1993, which Sal’s son Oscar now heads. Completing the circle was accomplished in 1997 when they started making wine with the assistance of winemaker Karen Culler.
